Faith as Journey
by John Bodycomb

ebook available at  Amazon

Ordained since 1956, with nothing to prove or to fear, Bodycomb answers questions many have been afraid to ask.  Acknowledging that everyone is the product of a story, he sets his idea of faith as ‘journey’ firmly within his own experience, dealing with who or what we mean by G-O-D, who Jesus is, and religious pluralism.  Written in the avuncular style that marks his preaching and teaching, this book has appealed to both scholar and lay reader.”

Bodycomb has been parish minister in Australia, New Zealand and the US; christian educator, university chaplain and dean of a theological school, where he taught sociology and preaching.  He has written or contributed to fifteen published works, and been a regular on religious radio.  He is an authority on church growth and decline. Ordained Congregational, he is today a retired Uniting Church minister.

‘To find a book whose contents reflect both erudition and transparent honesty is not a common experience. Such a book is John Bodycomb’s No Fixed Address: Faith as Journey. It had a long gestation period as suggested by the works consulted. These are many and varied and, by the way in which they are presented, allow the reader to participate in the author’s own journey. The honesty with which some contentious issues are dealt with will doubtless upset some readers. That, however, is a strength and certainly not a weakness for such an approach is long overdue. My appeal to readers is to suspend judgement and to think along with the author, to accompany him in what may become for them, as it was for me, an exhilarating experience, a faith journey.’
